The ACIF (Association of Caterers of Ibiza and Formentera) appears to cover the needs of the sector and to protect the clients, by grouping the best catering services of the Islands. Thus customers can make a distinction between a Catering company and many other fraudulent ones.

Requirements to be a member of the ACIF.

-Previous membership of the Pimeef. http://www.pimeef.net/

- development of artisanal cuisine.

- Being a catering company with all the permissions, licenses, sanitary registration and documentation required by the Administrations for the development of this activity.

- Having adequate premises (kitchen) with all the services (electricity, gas, water...) and installations required to meet the sanitary standards, and all the necessary elements for the storage, processing and conservation of products.

- Having the infrastructures to guarantee the safe transportation of the products in sanitary conditions, insulated or refrigerated van/truck or boxes according to the maximum number of diners that the company can serve.

- Commitment to undergo any health controls and to collaborate with the Authorities in order to avoid any irregularity or fraud.

- Commitment to support and collaborate with other partners, exchanging customers on busy dates or in case of lack of means to give a specific service, contracting extra staff (cooks, waiters...).

- Not being a restaurant or hotel which exercises this activity illegally. There is a very high percentage of companies (restaurants and hotels) that are advertised or referred to as catering companies which do not meet the requirements of the Administration, damaging the association and the clients.
